Best Old-Fashioned Ham Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups cooked ham finely chopped or pulsed in a food processor
  • 2 stalks celery finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish drained
  • 2 tablespoons red onion finely minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • A pinch of paprika optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Chop the Ham: Put cubed ham in a food processor and pulse 5–7 times until finely minced (or chop very finely by hand).
  2. Mix Veggies: Put the ham in a bowl and stir in the celery, relish, and onion.
  3. Make Dressing: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, and black pepper together.
  4. Combine: Pour the mayo mixture over the ham mixture and stir well until fully coated.
  5. Chill & Serve: Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving on bread or crackers.
