Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers or breadcrumbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Steam Veggies: Steam the broccoli until tender and set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce: In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Stir in the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Combine well.
  5. Transfer to Dish: Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese on top, followed by the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for a crispy topping.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and the topping turns a beautiful golden brown.
  8. Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
