Ingredients

  • [Ingredients Group: Pasta & Sauce Base]
  • * 12 oz 340g spaghetti
  • * 1 lb 450g ground beef or pork
  • * 2 tbsp olive oil
  • * 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • * 2 cloves garlic minced
  • [Ingredients Group: Veggies & Aromatics]
  • * 1 large carrot grated
  • * 1 stalk celery diced
  • * 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • * 1 can 14-oz crushed tomatoes
  • [Ingredients Group: Seasoning & Garnish]
  • * 1 tsp dried oregano
  • * 1 tsp dried basil
  • * Salt and pepper to taste
  • * Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Method

  1. Sauté Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions, garlic, carrot, and celery until softened (about 5 minutes).
  2. Brown the Meat: Add ground beef or pork to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Simmer the Sauce: Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20–30 minutes until the sauce thickens perfectly.
  4. Cook the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Combine & Serve: Toss the cooked pasta with the rich meat sauce, top generously with grated Parmesan cheese, and serve hot as a premium centerpiece.
